Similarly, through our dedication to our clients’ cases including thorough

obtained numerous plea arrangements resulting in significantly lighter sentences
than our clients were facing prior to our involvement.

Punishment in Idaho for any of the above criminal offenses can vary greatly
depending upon what type of crime is alleged and whether or not it constitutes a
first-time or repeat offense. Criminal offenses are typically classified
according to the type of punishment they carry. An infraction, such as a traffic
ticket or similar minor offense, simply carries a fine and does not require a
jail sentence. It can, however, have other consequences such as restricted
driving privileges or increased insurance rates. A misdemeanor typically
involves a fine, a period of time in county jail, or both. A felony carries
fines, incarceration in state prison, (often for mandatory prescribed periods),
or both fines and a prison sentence. Participation in specialty courts, court
costs, probation, counseling, community service, license suspensions,
limitations on people with whom you may associate, restrictions on your right to
possess alcohol or firearms and more, may also be included in a sentence.
Our criminal justice system was founded on the presumption that
you are innocent until proven guilty. Unfortunately, many people
in Southeastern Idaho believe that if you are merely charged
with a crime, you are already guilty. Before you make that
assumption or risk subjecting yourself to any of the above
punishments, learn your rights and explore your options. Contact
Campos Law. We assure that your questions will be answered, that
you will be in constant communication with our office, that your
case will be aggressively defended, and that your rights will be
protected.
